Daphne axillaris merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Hainan. Nama ilmiah Daphne axillaris pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Drew Merrill pada tahun 1963.
