Daphne modesta merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan barat, Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Daphne modesta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alfred Rehder pada tahun 1916.
