Daphnopsis coriacea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil tenggara dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Daphnopsis coriacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Paul Hermann Wilhelm Taubert pada tahun 1890.
