Daphnopsis purpusii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Puebla, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Daphnopsis purpusii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1910.
