Flamboyan adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Delonix regia ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar utara dan barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan flamboyant, flame tree, atau phoenix flower. Nama ilmiah Delonix regia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Wenceslas Bojer pada tahun 1837.
