Dendrocnide amplissima merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan Malesia bagian tengah. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama mesi tapalole, soro bilalago, atau sosoro boboedo (Maluku). Nama ilmiah Dendrocnide amplissima diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1965.
