Dendrocnide contracta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jawa Barat. Nama ilmiah Dendrocnide contracta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1965.
