Dendrocnide peltata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan Malesia selatan, Papua. Nama ilmiah Dendrocnide peltata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1851.
