Dendrosicyos socotranus merupakan tumbuhan semisukulen dari famili Cucurbitaceae (suku labu-labuan) yang berbentuk perdu atau pohon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Socotra (termasuk Samha). Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama pohon mentimun sokotra. Nama ilmiah Dendrosicyos socotranus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Isaac Bayley Balfour pada tahun 1882.
