Derris thothathri merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah India barat daya. Nama ilmiah Derris thothathri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sigamony Stephen Richard Bennet pada tahun 1978.
