Desmanthus covillei merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona selatan hingga Meksiko barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan coville's bundleflower. Nama ilmiah Desmanthus covillei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1950.
