Desmanthus obtusus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari New Mexico tenggara hingga Texas Meksiko barat-tengah dan timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bluntpod bundleflower. Nama ilmiah Desmanthus obtusus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1882.
