Desmodium prostratum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko utara. Nama ilmiah Desmodium prostratum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1891.
