Desmodium rhynchodesmum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Desmodium rhynchodesmum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Sidney Fay Blake pada tahun 1937.
