Desmodium sericeum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kosta Rika. Nama ilmiah Desmodium sericeum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Anton Karl Schindler pada tahun 1937.
