Desmoncus horridus subsp. prostratus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Arecaceae (suku pinang-pinangan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia timur laut hingga Brazil (Mato Grosso). Nama ilmiah Desmoncus horridus subsp. prostratus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Axel Magnus Lindman pada tahun 2011.
