Desmoncus prunifer adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Arecaceae (suku pinang-pinangan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Peru (Loreto). Nama ilmiah Desmoncus prunifer pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Eduard Friedrich Poeppig pada tahun 1837.
