Dethawia splendens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pyrenees. Nama ilmiah Dethawia splendens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Baron Philippe-Isidore Picot de Lapeyrouse (La Peirouse) pada tahun 1993.
