Dianthera appendiculata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Dianthera appendiculata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1798.
