Dianthera comata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh pada genangan air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Dianthera comata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1758.
