Dichanthelium aculeatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat timur laut hingga North Carolina. Nama ilmiah Dichanthelium aculeatum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 2019.
