Dichrostachys cinerea var. setulosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Dichrostachys cinerea var. setulosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Welwitsch pada tahun 1965.
