Dicymbe stipitata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Dicymbe stipitata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Richard Sumner Cowan pada tahun 1958.
