Dioscorea heteropoda merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Dioscoreaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Madagaskar tengah. Nama ilmiah Dioscorea heteropoda pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1882.
