Dioscorea orthogoneura adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Dioscoreaceae yang memiliki kebiasaan membentuk umbi di bawah tanah (geofit) dan berpola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Dioscorea orthogoneura pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edwin Burton Uline pada tahun 1910.
