Diospyros acapulcensis subsp. verae-crucis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga El Salvador. Nama ilmiah Diospyros acapulcensis subsp. verae-crucis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Carpenter Standley pada tahun 2008.
