Diospyros cathayensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah China selatan. Nama ilmiah Diospyros cathayensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albert Newton Steward pada tahun 1954.
