Diospyros heterotricha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rep. Kongo hingga Angola. Nama ilmiah Diospyros heterotricha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Welwitsch pada tahun 1963.
