Diospyros katendei merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Uganda barat daya. Nama ilmiah Diospyros katendei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bernard Verdcourt pada tahun 1996.
