Diospyros lasiocalyx merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Paraguay timur laut. Nama ilmiah Diospyros lasiocalyx pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 2018.
