Diospyros obducta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar tenggara. Nama ilmiah Diospyros obducta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Marie Henry Alfred Perrier de la Bâthie pada tahun 2011.
