Diospyros texana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ebenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas hingga Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan texas persimmon. Nama ilmiah Diospyros texana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Heinrich Adolf Scheele pada tahun 1849.
