Diphysa humilis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah hingga Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Diphysa humilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Anders Sandøe Ørsted pada tahun 1854.
