Diphysa macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Belize hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Diphysa macrophylla diperkenalkan oleh Cyrus Longworth Lundell pada tahun 1939.
