Diphysa spinosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah hingga Nikaragua. Nama ilmiah Diphysa spinosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1924.
