Diplacrum africanum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Diplacrum africanum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1894.
