Dirca occidentalis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California barat-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan western leatherwood. Nama ilmiah Dirca occidentalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1878.
