Distichlis palmeri merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko barat laut. Nama ilmiah Distichlis palmeri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Vasey pada tahun 1924.
