Dolichos oliveri merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga Zimbabwe. Nama ilmiah Dolichos oliveri diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Georg August Schweinfurth pada tahun 1868.
