Dolichos trilobus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Afrika, Eropa dan Asia. Nama ilmiah Dolichos trilobus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
