Downingia pulchella merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Campanulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California utara dan barat-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan flatface calicoflower. Nama ilmiah Downingia pulchella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Lindley pada tahun 1857.
