Drypetes glauca merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Putranjivaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan varital. Nama ilmiah Drypetes glauca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Vahl pada tahun 1807.
