Durio macrolepis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Semenanjung Malaysia. Nama ilmiah Durio macrolepis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama André Joseph Guillaume Henri Kostermans pada tahun 1958.
