Dysphania tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tristan da Cunha. Nama ilmiah Dysphania tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Louis-Marie Aubert du Petit-Thouars pada tahun 2008.
