Echidnopsis scutellata subsp. australis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Kenya utara. Nama ilmiah Echidnopsis scutellata subsp. australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Vincent Bruyns pada tahun 1988.
