Echinocactus horizonthalonius merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona selatan hingga Texas barat dan selatan dan Meksiko tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan devilshead. Nama ilmiah Echinocactus horizonthalonius diperkenalkan oleh Charles Antoine Lemaire pada tahun 1839.
