Echinocactus horizonthalonius subsp. australis merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko (Guanajuato). Nama ilmiah Echinocactus horizonthalonius subsp. australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Marc A. Baker pada tahun 2022.
