Echinopogon phleoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah New South Wales (Northern Tablelands). Nama ilmiah Echinopogon phleoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Edward Hubbard pada tahun 1935.
