Echinops chantavicus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Asia tengah. Nama ilmiah Echinops chantavicus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Rudolf von Trautvetter pada tahun 1866.
