Echinops heteromorphus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Iran timur laut, Pakistan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Echinops heteromorphus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1863.
